Dr. Brett Dworkis, Dr. Michael Mathesie, Travis Buffy: Rehabilitating Common Shoulder Injuries Hands-on Lab Part I Shoulder rehabilitation can reduce pain and restore function to an injured shoulder. The shoulder moves in more directions and to greater extents than any other joint in your body. However, because it performs so many movements, the shoulder is vulnerable to stress and injury. Shoulder injuries are very common, especially among those who play sports or have jobs with overhead arm motions. In this session, you’ll learn the hands-on rehabilitation techniques to quickly and safely get your patients back into action.

ProMed Billing Solutions, Early Bird Session: Top Questions for Insurance Billing and Credentialing

  • Medicare diagnosis, exam bundling when billed with adjustments, diagnosis pointers, how often should exams be billed, if auto isn't or can't be received can we bill the patient, do I have to bill the insurance or can I just charge the patient cash, modifiers when they should be used and much more
  • Benefits/Verification of Medicare supplement policies vs. Medicare replacement plan how do you know
  • Hearing that it takes only 30-60days for credentialing. Answer- Each insurance is different and most have a hard time of between 90-210 days. Medicare being 210 days. I answer each client by telling them each one is different and all I can provide is a guideline based on what I see on my end
  • ISSUE- Not having their CAQH updated/attested to which will cause credentialing with some carriers to come to a halt.
  • Is Medicare advantage included with most enrollments? YES
  • ISSUE- Provider not knowing his/her own NPPES log in which ties into PECOS and the I&A sys&em. Not having it updated as a result which could cause enrollment issues.
  • Am I limited to the number of providers/types I can link to my group? NO not limited.

Dr. Mark Sanna: Consciously Create a Culture of Acknowledgement Culture is not optional. You can’t choose to be culture-less. So wouldn’t it be beneficial to have one that works in favor of—and not against—your practice goals? Your practice culture is the formula—the DNA—that provides guidelines and motivation for your team. Your practice culture is the most powerful resource you have to attract and retain patients in alignment with your vision. By creating a Culture of Acknowledgement & Appreciation, you'll not only give but also receive appreciation, encouraging mutual respect within your practice. When there is alignment between expectations and a positive culture, there is no limit to the goals your practice can achieve!

Wendy Lee, CPCO: The New HIPAA Security Rules: How Secure is Your Practice? Practice owners and team members must follow HIPAA security standards for all network, computer, and data-related aspects of your practice. If you're feeling overwhelmed with these extra data security requirements, you're not alone. Most healthcare providers aren't experts in "IT" (information technology). You probably don't know the intricacies of how a computer network functions or why some technology protects your data better than others. How do you ensure your practice is HIPAA compliant? We’ll look at the basic HIPAA security requirements you'll need to fulfill on a daily, monthly and annual basis to protect patient data and be compliant.

Your team will learn how to build trust, embrace healthy conflict, commit to a goal, hold each other accountable, and get results. Wendy Lee, CPCO: Customer Service through Your Patients’ Eyes It’s never been easier to lose a patient forever … or to make them your practice champion instead! Research shows that 86% of today’s consumers are willing to pay more money for a better customer service experience—and in some cases, a lot more! The Web gives your patients multiple options where they can receive care, and if you don’t engage them at every step, you could lose them forever. However, you can stand above all those other choices and build lifelong loyalty—if you know the secrets to turning your patients into your strongest and most vocal advocates. This insightful session lays out a step-by-step program for delivering the kind of customer service today’s patient demands. Attend and you’ll learn the core principles and innovative strategies that will help you raise the standard of customer service excellence in your practice.

9:45 - 11:00 AM

Dr. Morgan Mullican: The Laws of Lifetime Growth Growth is a fundamental desire of all human beings. No matter what you have or what you strive for, whatever you want to see in your life that’s not there now is about growth. Growth is at the root of everything that gives us a feeling of accomplishment, satisfaction, meaning and progress. The 10 laws we’ll cover are like mirrors you can use to reflect your behavior, to see if it’s supporting or undermining your continued growth. When you commit to aligning your actions with the principles embedded in these ten laws, you also commit to making the most of the life you’ve been given – all of it. And, after all, what greater gift could you possible give to yourself or the world than that?
